Md. Nazrul Islam Khan currently Secretary, Ministry of Education and National Project Director Access to Information, Prime Minister's Office, the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

Educated on Law &Plant Science with distinguished track record of 1st class 1st  in both honors' and masters'; joined as a member of Bangladesh Civil Service with a brilliant record of first position of that batch; trained as civil servant but aptitude in innovation diffusion.  Among his colorful assignments Information and Communication Technology Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Private Secretary to the Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition, Director General Primary Education, Joint Secretary Ministry of Education.

Mr. Khan has been playing an instrumental role in implementing the ambitious vision of the Government "Digital Bangladesh". Digital Bangladesh Vision 2021 calls for an infusion of both the public and the private sector to transform Bangladesh into a knowledge-based society and middle income country.

He is one of the leading innovator and early adopter among senior Civil Servants.  Among his many innovations "Multimedia Classroom and teacher led Content Development" made hard to learn topic easier less time consuming at one-tenth cost. His remarkable idea "Elected Students Council" at the Primary School level, first of its kind in Bangladesh aims at inculcating democratic values at the early stage of life with a hope to continue up to the end of the life as political being working in 60 thousand schools.
Another initiative "Learning and Earning" enhanced Bangladesh position among top three freelancer destination within four years helps unemployed turn into self-employed. Now he is working on a four step model to develop entrepreneurs.

He has been rewarded with National Award for Primary Education for outstanding contribution in Primary and Mass Education.
